questions about head gaskets. my motor is a .060" over small block chevy which would be a 4.060" bore correct? so the head gaskets that my buddy used at the machine shop last go around are felpro 7733PT2 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fel-7733pt2/overview/ these claim to be for a 4.125 in bore. how does this make sense? also are these gaskets good for my aluminum heads?

Cometic makes gaskets that are actually sized for the bores so just tell them what your bore is.

ok so order the cometic gaskets for a .4060 bore and good to go. just figure out my thickeness or go with the .039" that he used?

I always try to use a head gasket that is at least .030 more than the bore of the engine you do not want one that is on the edge of your bore.
I would go with either a Cometic or Fel-Pro MLS gasket and 4.100 seems to be the most common size and will be safe to use with your bore of 4.060.
One advantage Cometic has is a large choice of gasket thicknesses in the same bore size so you can really dial in your comp. ratio.

I would stick with Cometic, Fel Pro leaves a lot to be desired in the MLS category.
