Even though 78-80 will interchange each year had a different style header panel, and that is just the 2 door.
78 and 79 had the 2 headlight style but the grills are different widths
80 had the 4 headlights.

i know 78-80 will swap through years.. but I was thinkin' along the lines of Monte, Regal, Malibu, Grand Prix, etc.. I'm guessin' no other brand headers will swap on with out a whole lot of work?

Use Google Images to search for photos of the models and years that you're interested in. You will rapidly see that the hood and fender contours don't match.
If you have a '78-'80 2-door Cutlass, you can put any '78-'87 4-door Cutlass or '78-'83 Cutlass wagon header panel on there.
The top corners may need a little modification, but they will fit and line up.
There was a fellow on here a while back that had a '83 4-door that put a '78 2-door nose on it.
Personally, I don't think it's worth the trouble...
