Car has been at the place all day. I got a set of headers (hedman) and a complete dual system from a guy who went from a SBC to a BBC.. So, its install the headers and bolt the rest in place.. since its been on a G-Body, it should bolt right up.

It was supposed to be done today, but Every Single Exhaust Manifold Bolt Broke, except one.. Hes been drilling them out all day, which is why it will be done tomorrow. He was drilling on the last one at quitting time today.

Glad I decided to have it done instead of doing it myself.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day at work... lol

Just remember, passenger side header installs from under the car & drivers side from above. Learned my lesson 20 years ago on that.

I'm not installing them... the local hot rod shop is. His problem. My money, but his problem.. kinda like dealing with 15 snapped manifold bolts :)

I had a issue like that so I ground off the heads of the bolts, removed the manifolds and removed every bolt with some heat and oil. It's easier with the torque removed and you have the hole shaft of the bolt to use

I checked... the cheapest were reman cast irons at $259 ea.. that's more than the cost of installation. Used? Thats a crap shoot, and I don't really want to sink money into this 305.

Everything Im doing to the car now is compatible with "bigger" sbc.. (Say, 350->355->383->400). Granted, the heads could be in that category, but if I pull that 305, the engine going in will probably already have heads on it.. unless I go with a Poncho 400 with 6x heads.. :)

One collector is leaking a little, but thats not their fault.. I gave them everything to put on, and they came with the aluminum collector "gaskets", I knew they would. I can tackle that.

Sound is Fantastic. Now the search is on for some tips..
