Going to get headers replaced on my 86 olds. It has 403 motor with a deep oil pan. What kind of headers would I need? To difficult to find one online with it being a different motor, need someone with personal experience to help me out.

Go with Anubis headers above if feasible. The Hedman are the only affordable choice worth looking at for full length, Flowtech are thin flange, rusty garbage, otherwise Hooker, which is up there in price and stainless ARH, over $1000 a pair. There are 3 shorty's that will work, Sanderson, Hedman and Thornton Stainless.

These Thornton shorty headers are what I plan on using also, along with the Jeg's 2.5" GBody dual exhaust kit I purchased a few months ago, when they had that killer deal. I'm hoping this setup will bolt right up, but if not I will just modify the head pipes, as needed.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but this could be useful for future searches. Question is... Does anyone see a problem using this setup with a 4 speed manual trans??

The driver's side is the same on all years, the passenger side has a different angle compared to late manifolds. Ram Air Restorations, full 2.5", really nice aluminized and Pypes 2.25" flange into a 2.5" stainless early passenger gkange 68-72 down pipes. Both mandrel bent but like a lot of Pypes stuff there has been issues with the bends way off. I want to try a set of the BBO Thornton's stainless shorties on my 403 stroker, see if they hit everything badly, bigger 1 3/4" primaries and a much less restrictive 2.5" collector that will fit the ram air down pipes better.
