So on my 83 Regal I'm switching to an 84+ header panel. Got one on craigslist from a guy in south Jersey for $200 along with a pair of fenders and front and rear bumpers.

Came with no hardware at all. I bought new headlight adjusters. But one thing I can't seem to find is the nylon nuts that the screws for the headlight bezels screw into.

I believe they're little square nylon nuts similar to the license plate nuts you can buy from parts stores only with a smaller hole?

Anybody found a source for these?

The Buick Regal/GN guys need to chime in here with some for sure information. Parts information doesn't show much, and what it does show is in various places except where we need to look, spring nuts, aka, U or J-nuts. B-spring for #8 screws. Flat area across the front. Buick seemed to use a lot of those to hold stuff on according to what I'm seeing. Interestingly, everything BUT the bezel nuts I can find. Every other nut used for #8 screws uses the same spring nut, so it's possible this would be no exception.

This POSSIBLY could be what you're seeking. Standard parts information lists it as a B-style U nut with the current GM p/n of 15650655. Dorman has them under p/n 700-520BX.

Olds used a square nylon nut for the small screws, GM p/n 380382. Your holes do not appear that this is what they need because they don't seem square enough, although admittedly I am not familiar with Regal/GN front end hardware as to what SHOULD be there.

You might try an independent body shop that has been in business for a while. I know we have a couple drawers of grommets in our clip/fastener collection.

Chain shops and shops that haven't been around a while would be less likely to have them because newer cars use a lot less of that type grommet, with a few exceptions.

Disco, Wurth, Kent, Auveco all have them, but usually you'll have to buy the whole box IF they sell direct

None of the holes in this damn header panel were square. I doubt this car left the factory with the headlight adjusters clipped in. I had to file the crap out of the holes to make them square enough to work.

The two side holes by the marker lights use the clip on style nuts, but the ones across the top are too deep for something like that to work

IMO somebody has to make a new reproductions since these would also fit GN's.

My 84 Camino uses 14013246. In gmpartswiki it looks like p/n 347347 for 84 Buick G h/l bezel nuts. Here's a couple pages out of my old Auveco catalog. Seems last time I looked quite a few years ago it was no longer available for download. I've purchased fasteners on ebay and the prices are better for the buyer when searching by the auveco number rather than the GM number.

Wow, that's cool. Looks like I can still get them. Glad you saved this. Thanks.
