headlights question

so my cars been doin this sh*t for a while now where the high beams go on but low beams don't turn on... I have to **** with this switch for it to work properly, you guys ever experienced this before? I can't tell if it's the springs inside the switch itself but yeah it won't stay on for long either...

sounds like your headlight dimmer switch has gone bad. thats the one in your picture.

there are two bolts that secure it, I think they are 7 mm. If you have a tilt column make sure you have it positioned right. If you remove the two 15 mm nuts that holds the column in place the column can drop giving you more access to the switch.
