Does anyone know the function of this switch? It’s from an ‘87 TR and I’m not getting vacuum to heater core inlet valve
All vacuum lines appear in place and any that were rotten or suspect have be removed and replaced
TIA

Ok but what is the function of the switch actually cause there is no vacuum source going to it
And the fan has it’s one switch.
Is it to open vent doors or something??

You only should have vacuum to the heater control valve in the Max air position. That allows you to blend warm air in the Norm position cause your wife is too coldddddddd

lol, well the AC isn’t working at the moment anyway. Not that we need it yet anyway 🙄
But that will be addressed as well.
My understanding is vacuum SHOULD be applied when you have control in cold position regardless. It closes the valve thus not allowing hot coolant into the heater core.

You are also recycling the cabin air at that position too.

So your saying the valve SHOULD allow hot coolant into the heater core when controls are in OFF position and temp is over to cold??
