Fellow Gbody'rs

I just installed my nose on my Buick. The fe sits too low for me. FE has stock v8 coils, tubular control arms and look like stock spindles. The tubular arms say s-10 on them. Did someone make drop control arms? I know they made drop spindles, but these looked the same as my old spindles. What do you suggest to help bring fe back up.

Thanks
Rus

Yup, you dropped it! I think it looks awesome!

But, in order to bring it back up, you have to figure out what lowered it. Check the ball joint to spindle measurement on the knuckles and spring pocket depth in the lower control arm. Those are the 2 most common methods other than springs, which you'll have to cross reference numbers for installed height.

you have alot of unknown that could be affecting the ride height, the "looks" like stock spindles need be verified to see if they are stock, if the stock v8 coil springs are not new they need to be measured and tested. The upper control arm has nothing to do with the ride height

Lower the back and the front will come up some; the weight distribution is all wonky. Installing the hood is going to exacerbate the issue.

And IIRC, you are running a 70-series tire in the front which is going to fill up the wheel well more. Go back to a 65 or 60 series tire to regain clearance.

Being that low takes away his sleeper effect he was going for. It does look wicked but I'm partial to lowered cars. My opinion has always been, if it does not drag or scrape once in awhile, It's not low enough

Get some stiffer moog springs around a 550lb spring rate and the front should come back up. Maybe the arms have deeper pockets. Did the lower arms have tall ball joints?

If stiffer springs don't raise it, lower the back. In a world of 9 second rusty farm trucks, Cool > Sleeper.

High doesn't equal sleeper... 28" rear and 26" front doesn't make it slammed.
