I agree I wouldn't redo the interior if its all in good shape. Could go with white, my car is white with white vinyl top and dark blue interior. Of course this would make your motor color a strange choice. Reprinting a motor is way easier than redoing an interior. Is the body still off the frame?

Yes, it is still off the frame at Gbody parts. I clearly did not think it over before I got the suspension in red. I like for it to be blue and silver, but I don't think it will look good with all the red.

I don't think the red suspension parts is what would bother me it's the red motor. Hard to hide that with the hood open. Blue and silver would also look sharp, just watch what you use for a line to set the two tone. The straight body line down he sides of all G-Bodies can look weird with two contrasting colors like blue and silver. What about all silver with dark blue "SS" style stripes or vise versa? That is a good look that will always be cool even on the later cars like G-Bodies

I know how the line looks my car is an 80' Cutlass. See what you can find for pics out there, I think that would look a little odd but I have never seen one of these cars two toned on that body line maybe I'm wrong

Blue and red are sorta polar opposites; you're going to have to use a good intermediate color if you don't want to get rid of the vinyl top and interior. I would use a nice silver color. White would also work.

I also said white nice universal color makes body work easy, matches everything. I've seen way to many "straight" cars look like crap because they were black

I'd say black and red or black and silver or all black lol ... Half vinyl top throws a wrench in . I'd say black paint black top red or black interior to match engine etc

If you like your interior and it's color and you are saying it is in great shape then you could probably go with maybe a dark blue or white or something you feel will either match or set off your interior, the only issue I would have with those colors is with your choice of engine and suspension colors that to me kind of limits your exterior color choices to either red or black if you want everything to blend together like a well thought out project.
As far as the half vinyl removing it would not be that much work if you are prepping for paint anyways you would be half way there, and once it is gone it really opens up your paint options since you would no longer have to match it to anything.
When I got first my Monte it was a CL and had a black half vinyl on a black car and I was okay with it for a while until I laid out a game plan for the car and decided it wouldn't fit my future plans and still look right, also my original interior was light gray with 60/40 seats and needed replacing anyway and when I decided to redo my interior I seriously considered going black but then thought it would be too much black so I did everything in camel instead because I figured it would give it more contrast.
Now I'm not big on red cars either but I think a dark red without the half vinyl and a black interior would set off everything you have done to the rest of the car and tie it all together.
