Took off leather top on my 87 cutty and found that someone had extended it to the whole entire roof. The factory side meaning from the passenger window and back is fair but the other half filled with rust. I have taken a strioper tool to it and done the best i can. Now i was gona buy that etch stuff from eastwood and get all the rust out of the pitted areas. Has anyone ever done that? And also do u have to buy a epoxy to seal all of it? I would appriciate any insight thx!

I think once you've chemically treated the rust and thoroughly cleaned it I'm sure you can use a finishing putty to level the pits.
