Help with steering column

So I trying to install tilt steering on my 79 cutlass. The existing column has the combination cruise and blinker rod . but has no tilt
I picked up a tilt column from a 1980 century with tilt
My question is. Can I swap the tilt mechanism on to the non tilt steering shaft or will the cruise / blinker mechanism fit the tilt hub.
I figure I would ask first before tearing into this experiment.

No you have to swap the whole column. You will have to move the cruise and wiper stuff to the tilt column
