Hey All trying to do a speaker overhaul on my 85 ss

how hard is it to go with the 3x9s instead of the stock 4x10s i was looking at the kenwood 4x10s but people say to go with the 9s how hard is it?

whats the best speakers to go with in the front?

for the back, I would go 6x9's with adapters.

On my Monte and Regal I just cut a notch just below the rear deck so the 6 x 9's are mounted flush so there is no interference with the trunk bars, this notch is maybe 6" x 5/8" and is hidden by the rear seat and I also open up the deck holes to better match the 6 x 9's and give more clearance for the tweeters.

x2 what he said ^^^ much cleaner install and no trunk bar interference. My kappas are wedged under the torsion bar now, no way they would have fit with adaptors
