So since I’m a sucker (or smart, depending on perspective) and I decided to buy the Holley swap system in its entirety I figured I’d help everyone out with some swap stuff.

So first off the oil pan. The instructions are pretty clear and on point with the how to’s. It suggests to use the F-Body windage, which you have to trim to fit. I bought the 302-3. It’s got turbo drains and room for a 4.0” crank. Cool idea if you wanna get bigger later as i did.

So first. Mod the truck windage tray to fit. Don’t waste your money on the F-body tray. It’s almost exactly the same except about 4” shorter.

Here is the tray in with the first cut to fit the pickup.

Here we are cut to fit the pan. You can see that you have to cut down in the profile to fit as the tray is a bit taller on one side. The instructions are very good on what needs to be done and it was quick work with an air saw. I did not use aftermarket rod bolts so that was the entire process to fit the pan. It comes pretty complete with all the necessary fasteners and some plugs for the drain ports. It’s a very quality looking part, well made and sharp looking. I was less than impressed by some of the thread tapping that was done, I thought they were a little rough especially the oil drain plug. Not a big deal but some of the more discerning members might be very miffed by it.

Looks pretty good, even says Holley on the bottom. That’s gotta add 5 horses.

Motor mounts.

As with the pan the mounts look pretty nice and are well made. They are laser cut (it looks like) and welded pretty cleanly. They come with new bolts to bolt up to the motor, install is quick and easy.

The instructions say you need to get new clamshells and bushings or to put poly bushings in. I decided on the polys and it’s a pretty straight forward process. But I thought some detailed clearance pics would be good. So here you go!

Here is the fitment of the 4L80e in the crossmember. Holley has you buy and adapter plate for the 4L80e, but other than making 3 pan bolts tough to get at without moving the crossmember, it is super strong and it is pretty easy to get at the late model cooling lines if you use 90's off the case for trans cooler lines. I used AN adapters in the case for cooling and so I had tones of options for making my cooler lines simple. I would recommend going this way because its easy. I also use an energy suspension poly trans mount, I believe it is the suggested number in the Holley instructions for the crossmember.

I had to remove this factory driveshaft loop as my ujoint ears on the slip rubbed it a bit. More annoying than anything.

Here are some install pics of the Hooker Part# 70501364-RHKR exhaust install. Once you pop the enormous box open you see why its expensive. Everything is beautifully tig welded and high quality. Fit is perfect. Period. Nothing hangs low. You can fit a 3.5" driveshaft with the 3" exhaust.

The only issue I had was a slight interference with the UMI rear control arm braces and the mufflers. There is enough play in the system to tilt the mufflers and clear the bolts on the braces. Its pretty minor and was easily adapted for without any modifications.

It sounds good, but is a straight through glass pack style muffler and might be a bit aggressive for some, especially with the 1.75" long tubes like I have.

Idle walk around. This is a moderate cam idle @ 750rpm.

A short hit from inside.

What trans are you using ? I'm trying to figure out how to mount Holleys cross member and I didn't have a 200r4 trans so it's a little different. Plus I am doing Hellwigs frame strengthening setup and it'smaking it complicated
