Guess I'm not as up to date as I thought. I didn't know they made a Gen III LS3. I thought all LS3's were Gen IV

All LS3 are GEN IV. The issue is these all are DBW but I am building it to be DBC so I cannot use the LS3 PCM. I will have to use a LS1 PCM and they do not support the GEN IV knock sensors.

There's a full 5" of space on the driver side and the headers are pulled back behind the passenger side bolt holes that you could use for knock sensors on the block. I think you will have lots of room. I can thread a knock sensor in if you wanna see for sure.

These are the 1 7/8" long tubes. So it ain't gonna get more crowded than that.
