Just saw this on instagram today, I wonder what Holley is trying to make for gbodys, maybe some kind of fuel injection compatible with the gbody computer or something.

Arnt 78-81s the years gm was transitioning from imperial to metric hardware. If so I would maybe guess it has to do with how they are bolting thing on. Even then I feel like it wouldnt be hard to accommodate both imperial and metric,

It all was '78 for the metric dominated hardware with the only change being in '82 going to metric wheel studs.

Most of the the time it's a gift card to whomever has the car, and you get to keep whatever they made/designed.
