I have a Holley 670 Street Avenger Carburetor that runs great but when I shut it off it leaks gas from the vacuum secondary diaphragm rod on the passenger side of the carburetor anyone know where this leak is coming from and how it can be fixed

I would put money on it that it is leaking from the vacuum secondary diaphragm rod on the passenger side of the carburetor !

Unfortunately you really cant just take a Holley out of the box and slap it on.

They always need adjustments.

Absolute garbage

Quick Fuel carbs were much better out of the box .........but Holley owns them now too, so not sure if the quality of them bombed

Lower the float like pontiac said

remove site plug see if any fuel drips out. if it does the float is to high

wrench on the nut, loosen screwdriver head bolt, turn the nut clockwise to lower the float

Watch this vid it is very easy

Oh and use the widest blade flathead screwdriver you have so you don't crap up the screw head
