Hood release

Accidentally broke off the hood release in my '86 Bonneville today. Looking for a replacement online but it's either way overpriced, out of production or used. Anyone know where to get a new geniune release cable for a reasonable price? Part# is 20429339. Thanks

New they came in cardboard boxes with the part number on a label. In my unwieldy piles of spare junk I've got used cables, mostly off regal/cutlass, but, I'm not aware of any differences.

I BELEIVE that they are the same for all G-body's..

They should be universal for all Gs.

I'm in Ottawa and might have a cable. It's from a 1983 GP, but I think that all G-bodies from those years had the same mechanism. I replaced mine with a custom hood release. Let me know if you still need one. No charge (except for postage).

My bad!! It's been a few years since I changed the hood release -- I just rummaged through my spare parts bin and found it... the cable and handle are not in one piece. Now I remember why I changed it! Very sorry for jumping the gun and giving you false hopes. I'm glad I checked...

Whelp, it's been about 15 years since I did much back and forth with y'all, back then Canada Post and the USPS had some kind of arrangement for cheap shipping. Course back then I was a new englander as well.

IIRC its more of a pain to send north than south with taxes/duties/etc. If any of you guys can walk me through figuring out what's cheapest and easiest from a receiving standpoint I've got no problems tossing the one in the pic in whatever box is cheapest to get there, you just cover whatever it takes me to send it.
