This door is pretty bad. Can I save it? I can weld a bit and I have some patience when it comes to shaping and prep but this looks pretty bad. Does anyone know if I can get a patch panel for this or am I gonna have to make something myself. I guess I can't make any worse right? Any advise is appreciated.

Pretty sure there is no patch panel other than another door. Anything can be fixed, but the question becomes how much is you time worth to you to repair it, vs just finding a door from down south.

Can it be saved? Yes. Should it be given the sheer number of hours/weeks you'll have invested in it? No way in hell...

I mean, here's the deal.

How do you fix it? You need to find what they call a lower inner door patch panel, and depending what the outside looks like, and outer lower patch panel.

That LOOKS like a car with bad dew wipes, bottoms of doors filled with crap, that held water, and it rusted. So outer may not be bad except some small patches.

Now, if nobody is making those stamped inner panels anymore (nominally cover the bottom 4-6" of the inner part) then it's not really something you'd piece together yourself.

Either way, your time is ahead to get replacements and the jamb stickers can be reproduced with your car specific data.

I really need doors for my car, but they are getting harder to find in good shape and I really don't want aftermarket ones that fit like crap or take hours of work to get them to fit and function properly

Goodmark made a really nice Gbody inner door repair panel and I actually had a set of Goodmark inners and Sherman outers for my Regal but sold them when I found some rust free Cutlass doors.
