How do you find out how many cars were made of your year?

I have a 1980 Malibu wagon with I assume a factory 4 speed I have looked up the vin and didn't see any info on what it came with as trany. i'm just curious if it is factory 4 speed how rare is the car and how many were made. I've had car for almost 14 years now it was my first car when I was 16 🙂

so far ive only seen that around 200 were made in 80 but id love to know how many wagons were made fct 4 speed

There was total of 202 MM4 Four-Speed manual transmission, out of 211.826 models possible.

looks like my car came factory 3 speed manual do u know how many were 3 speed?

looks like 6,042 out of 278,350 models possible come from the factory with the MM3 Three-Speed Manual Transmission. Thats all 2dr, 4dr and wagons. There where a total of 30,794 1AT35 Malibu Wagons and 35,730 1AW35 Malibu Classic wagons. Dont know how many wagons come with a three-speed manual transmission. I only have a break down for Malibu, El Camino and Monte Carlo.
