Can anyone tell me where to look to see how many cars were made of a certain vintage and build?

OK... What I was looking at is a 78 Cutlass Supreme 305 4spd car. It has no tilt column and no air and someone put a moon roof in it that about made me almost throw-up. My question is how many of this car did they build or is it very rare?

unless its a mexcian montie the 4spd isnt factory, the 305 is what most cutlasses came with that or the 307 and the moon roof that was a custom option offered by satain himself

BruceCompton,
Yes, G.M. did make 305/4spd. in 78! I did a web search ( 78cutlass supreme 305 4speed car ), and I think you'll find it very interesting! It just might be 1 of 99 built!

i always thought they neever made any g bodies standard only auto, well now i feel silly lol but i hope if it is that n its rare that the moon roof they put in didnt take away the value

3,4 and 5 spd's were available only certain years and engine combos.

G bodys were all automatics except for the mexican Monte and a few other export cars.
78-81 were still technically a bodys or A specials as GM called them.

Your right, no G-body was ever made with a manual. However the '78-'81 A-body's were. 😉

And remember, just because it may be rare doesn't neccessarily make it valuable. Sometimes rare means ugly pieces of junk no one wanted. AKA the butless Cutlass.

I passed on a 79 leman's 301/ 4 speed a week ago, cause it had to much rust. it was originally a Canadian car, then brought down to Seattle sat for a while, then to SoCal. I wanted it so bad, but it was rusted from the back glass all the way to the trunk seal and some on the 1/4. The registration was also an issue, sense it still had Washington plates. I would of got it for the right price, but he wouldn't take less than 1200..
