MALIBU how to bleed the cooling system of a 383 stroker?

does anyone know how to bleed the cooling sstem of a 383 stroker? i cant get the air out the top end hose of the radiator. therefor the fans wont come in because the electronic thermostat is measuring ais i think.

I use one of these to bleed the system. It puts the coolant in the funnel up higher than any other spot in the system......

i love that funnel,if you don't have one of those try jacking the front of the car up and run it with the heat on,cap off and see if the air works itself out as it'll become the highest point.

Get yourself a stock Chevy thermostat housing with a port in it late 70's and up.

Put a brass plug in it and while the car is running at operating temp crack the brass plug open and the air will come out.

Super cheap and never have this issue ever again.

Some drill a little hole 1/8" or less in the rim of the thermostat as a last resort.

Old timer trick is to put an aspirin tablet in the thermostat. Once the system is filled, it dissolves and no air is trapped behind it.
