How to Remove a Broken-Off Bolt

Once in a while YouTube serves up a useful nugget. How many helicoils could I have avoided if it had occurred to me to use some of the ideas I saw here? Granted, he's not trying to pull a stub out of an engine block sitting down in the frame rails, which is where they really break off in our real world. But perhaps these tricks will be useful to one of you.

So, it appears that drill guides and left handed bits are the way to be.

I have a full set of hinge drill guides and I never used them once on a door!!!!

They work great!

I need 81cutlass to make me a set of those socket head bolts with the holes in them!!!!!!

I suggest the guy buy a torque wrench so he won't be breaking so many bolts....
