how would i no if its a posi rear or not...

im looking into a posi rear for my other project...its a 83 but cant metion what type of 83 cutlass it is 🙂 i got it for mad cheep...but anyways i found on craigslist a posi rear for sale $400 near me and was wondering how would i be able to tell if posi or not any suggestions would help thanks much-chris

get it off the ground and turn the yoke if both wheels spin the same way its a posi if not its either open or a really loose limited slip
