I am baffled of why it won't start!

I hate to say it but when my kids learn to drive I would not let them get a car as old as my Monte Carlo as a first car. There is something to be said for modern safety features for someone learning to drive. In heavy rain my mini van and truck stop far better than the Monte. Also a FWD is far better up here where we can get bad snow storms. A ten year old car has air bags, crumble zones, traction control etc. And there are plenty in the lower price range that they can get.

I understand the cool factor etc, but there is the safe factor too.

I would say that was a score but I think you overpaid since it is missing a hubcap!

That's a good looking Monte Carlo. I'm jealous as hell. Lol. $350...... Wow. It's pretty cool that you've got access to a parts car. That will make things a little easier. Parts are getting harder to find for our cars! As far as the chipped tail lights, cheap plastic sitting in the sun for years makes them pretty brittle. Is the frame and everything underneath as clean as the top side? What are your plans for the car long term?

I agree totally completely with the safety part, but there's not a whole lotta snow that makes it down to the Florida beaches, and the speed limits are 30, MAYBE 35, in the beaches too. Of course they'd go see their buddies in town, but for beach cruisin'...

The wheels & tires were payment for polishing a buddy's motorcycle who owns Garrison Moto in Jax Beach, they had them upstairs & convinced me they'd be better than the 3 hubcap look...I have to agree-

Those wheels and the tint make the car look even better. Feel free to post some more pics. We all love pics on here.
