So nothing yet & in lew of replacing pump with a new one, I'm going to remove the current fuel pump & inspect for anything that'd cause this mind blowing issue...oh and look into the tank just to see how it looks as well as try to clean the sock if it's nasty-

Ok...Does anyone know how long the rear steel line is that goes from the rubber line (that comes off the fuel pump) & goes to the fuel filter on the frame in front of the passenger wheel??
I tried to put rubber line in...wouldn't start.
Then tried a 18" steel line repair kit with compression fitting...wouldn't start.
Used plenty of latex tape on threads but noticed it seems to be just barely seeping a tit of gas down the line from the compression fitting junctor.
So I need to replace it with 1 piece line from rubber hose to the filter...of course it needs to have a threaded fitting on the one end that goes to into the filter, the other end of course gets clamps on the rubber line.
I'd love to get one already bent, it was a pain in my a$$ bending just the one piece I spiced in-
Thanks y'all

In-line tube makes the lines for the 4.3

CMF8109 Main Fuel Line 2pc 3/8" F.I.
CMF8110 Fuel Return Line 1pc 5/16" F.I
CMF8111 Frame/Tank Return Line 1pc 5/16"

I don't put any tape on fuel or brake lines ever.

Was the fuel flow any better before the filter?

Sounds like the injectors are not firing. Remove the breather look down the throttle body while someone is turning the car over. U should see the injectors spraying fuel into the throttle body.

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding we have a winnah!!
Pontiac455...you are correct sir
I hadn't been getting gas spraying in throttle body from injectors, but since I initially had the leaking gas issue due to a small split in the line..I figured that was the issue.
After replacing the fuel line all together, still wouldn't start (no spray in Tbi)
I went & got noid light & it's not lighting up, so no pulse going to injectors, yea?

$25,000...what now?

Yea, the 1st couple times I didn't use any tape as I never use on those lines either, did it out of desperation.

And thanks for the info!

Usually when this happens its a bad driver in the ignition control module. Check the wires and the connector that plug into module. If all is well then replace module. Sometimes it is the ecm but very rarely.

You should really consider the in line tube lines they save a lot of headache also often there can be pin holes in the lines exiting the sending unit on top of the tank it's not an area that often gets cleaned.glad you found the pulse problem.

Don't those cars have an injection fuse? I thaught I remember changing a fuse to get a pulse back on an early tbi ???

I'm going to check fuses now, but couldn't find any fuel injection fuse location online.
I'll keep ya posted.
