I Am Done With HP Tuners.

Beyond the basic needs of my existing vehicles I have little interest in providing them anymore financial support. And here's why:

That lack of user support is utter bullshit. Might just pull the stock stuff out of the Monte and toss in a Holley Terminator X now.

A combination of their service and the difficulty in tuning the stock computer has turned me off to the whole setup. I'll be using megasquirt of Holley or Fitech in the future.

Is EFI Live any better? I don't know jack about tuning. I just know my tuner uses EFI Live. Sorry to see bad support on the platform you are using.

In a general sense, efi live tends to cater to diesels more where HPTuners is more gas oriented.

Paying to double license a single vehicle just to make it work as required is BS - especially when HP Tuners has the capability to make the change, yet elect not to. As in the case above... 9 years ago.

It is just as complicated navigating the complexities of a factory-based OS through HP Tuners. The aftermarket simply strips away the noise - which allows things to operate more simply without the nannies.
