Terms like "solid" and "rust free" vary greatly depending where you're from.

What I saw when showing up to look at a "rust free" or "solid" car in the rust belt would be considered "has rust" or "needs some work" down south in the land of truly rust free cars.

In the big picture of collectable cars, "rust free" means nothing brown or reddish colored on anything anywhere except cast iron or consumable parts. And no bubbling in paint anywhere either. That's what you're going to compete against.

So, it's fine to use that label, but, you're going to limit yourself to the market your true condition actually compares to. If you've got parts of the car that are brown/red colored even though the metal isn't weak, that's considered rust that need repair work for anywhere outside the rust belt.

I see cars as 2 options. Take what you can get for it and be happy because nobody else seems to agree with how much the owner thinks its worth, or hold on to it until you decide that its just in your way. That way maybe one day you will get the itch to do something with it, and its already sitting waiting for you. When I decided I was done racing, I listed the car for what I thought was reasonable and the car went in a week. There are still cars on the internet maybe not as nice, maybe nicer than mine was listed for more money and they have been there for a year+.

Generic Monte Carlo is probally the least desirable of the Gbodys being they are/were a dime a dozen.

Does that mean its worth nothing.......no

Did you find a pot of gold.........no

If you look at Craig's List/etc you will see the same Montes that have been for sale for YEARS

But one thing is for sure.........without pics its worth nothing.

How about a big girl with saggy little b**bs, body and face acne, extensive cellulite, British teeth, moustache, and baldness?

But guaranteed to have "low miles" on her!
