i am stumped by this one. i bought this engine with the heads on and definitely having had work done to them. they MAY have been milled. that is just my guess.

I'm getting oil in those areas. also some anti-freeze, but i know the anti-freeze is from the thermo housing(stupid crap chrome pieces of junk). but there isnt much sitting between the head and the intake, like where you can see the gasket. and if it were coming from the valve cover i'd think it'd be more in that area between the head and intake.

any input would be great. just throw some theories at me.

yeah, but i am getting pools like every day. its kinda sucking.

IDK, maybe a bad gasket? Fi=or the price just replace the gaskets and see if that fixes it.

yeah, i was kinda hoping to leave my dist. in if i didn't have to re-set the timing.

parts

intake gasket is leaking. if the bolts are loose then retorque. if not best to do the intake gaskets.

yeah, i'll def try to torque them. hopefully i dont need new gaskets. if they are milled, is there thicker gaskets i should be getting??

I would say it sounds like your valve cover gasket is leaking.

If you're getting pools everyday, then it's a pretty good leak. Clean all the oil up with some brake cleaner, then run the engine. Watch where the oil is seeping from and repair as required.
