Ideas on removing all this fur?

Trying to clean up this old carpet and remove all the jute on the backside, but so much is stuck to the rubber backing real well. Has anyone tried to do this before? Or have any suggestions? Thank you.

The old insulation was pretty disgusting, I would just like to see if there was an easy way to really clean up all the old stuff to lay down some new insulation

Well, it was typically attached in small areas with glue, not so much a case of just getting stuck due to passage of time.

That was me but I'm leaving the fur on for the body shop guys to deal with.

As for the "fur" to be removed try something like Goo Gone.

Heat gun to loosen and nitrile gloves to start plucking or a scraper

no idea if this will work but I know guys that use dry ice to get insulation off floor pans.
