I couldn't find any numbers on the heads, it's an iron block there is a number on the back of the block but it is too obstructed to see that also.

The heads number is 862 appears to be for 4.8 or 5.3
 
Now the only ways to tell are read the ECM (assuming it is original to the engine) or bore scope a piston. Dished is 5.3, flat is the superior 4.8L.

Read the ECM with a scanner or look for a number on it?
