Identifying LS Engine

I'm thinking you'll need something that pulls information from the VIN. A scanner will just report problem codes.

Yeah, I just tried the scanner and it basically just says no codes

How is there no member in Michigan without HP Tuners to do a simple read on the ECM. There are no credits involved in reading... so, yeah... um folks... help this man out.

565...all one needs to do is hook up HP and open the software. The credits apply when changes need to be made to the ECM. I hook up to my other cars when SEL comes on, and clear them if need be.

All of them. Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Escalade, Sierra, Hummer, and I'm sure a few more but my brain isn't working lol.

Pretty much all of them for the last 20+ years. We're using "LS" as a blanket term here.

D585 coils, earlier PCM, hmm... what are the 3 digits on the heads (PS front)?

The numbers on the heads are a good indicator of which engine it is. The guys at driveway engineer on FB might be able to hep also.
