Hi, Can any one tell me if I need to change the trans crossmember or the driveshaft when changing from the metric 200 trans to the 200r4 overdrive? 1983 olds cutlass calais with 307 v8. Thanks in advance

Driveshafts are the same lenth being for either transmission. Now from what I've come across is a MCSS has a slightly bigger tube diameter it used.
For the crossmember you're going to have to get another one plus a extension bracket for the driver's side. If going for a aftermarket one it should come with one.

Even if it is not listed an aftermarket th400 crossmember works for the 200R4 when used with the frame extension.
