Hello folks,

Happy Friday everyone!

I just got a rear sway bar from BMR, also separately purchased the brackets and shims for install. My 81GP did not come with one.

i’m having an issue getting the bolt though the opposite end of controller arm. i was able to screw the bolt through the bracket as a test with no issue.

Any tips? Should i grease up the entire screw and control arm holes? Is the control arm hole maybe a bit too small for the smooth side to go though? BMR provided the hardware.

Thanks

Looks like the bolt is just a tad too big. I cant see why opening up that hole to fit would hurt anything. Make sure there is a support in that control arm when you install otherwise it wont last long once you crank down on that bolt or lower the car and take a quick turn.

I like to use antiseize on the bolt in the area that is in the spacer. It corrodes in there and makes it hard to take apart.
