Installing TH350 and 200r4 shift kits (question)

As far as the basics go, is installing a shift kit in a 200r4 any different than installing one in a TH350? I've heard every shift kit is different, but I just want to know if a basic 200r4 shift kit has any electronics work involved.

EDIT: I might have figured this question out already. I just need to re-assure someone.
