After thinking about it for a while, I'm not sure if any G-body came with a torque limiting fan clutch from the factory.

The parts book shows that an 86/87 4.3 with air conditioning should have clutch p/n 22050649, stamped with code AK or CF

Here's one, it's thin, and it's a thermal.

i’ll take it out after i finish doing thermostat and go from there, if i see the spring it’s thermal

Even the NON-A/C fan clutch for the GP 4.3 shows a thermal fan clutch. P/N 22050656, stamped AS.

Yes, if you see a spring, it's thermal. If it's flat across the front, it's likely non-thermal (torque limiting).

If you find you need a new one, Rockauto sells an ACDelco one for 4.3, p/n 19189678. It's thermal, standard duty. And new, not rebuilt.

$43.79. Look on the forum for Rockauto's discount code and you can save an additional 5%. So $41.60 plus tax and shipping.

Just throwing it out there.

How do we go about looking for the R.A. discount code? I scrolled to the bottom of this page and did not see RA as one of our sponsors.

Thank You, 69hurstolds. I wish I had know about that a couple of weeks ago, with all the parts that I have purchased for my non-G project that I'm working on.
I still have more parts to order, so all is not lost, plus parts for the Caballero to get as well.
