Has any one used this type of gasket for the intake manifold? And if so , how did it work?

I have used it many times. I use a bead of RTV around the 4 corner water ports, both sides of the gasket. I also use tall, 3 thin layer beads of RTV in place of the rubber end gaskets. The Ultra or Optimum Black are good, the Optimum Grey is very rigid RTV.
I also use Aviation sealant(Gaskasinch) around the rest of the ports. There are two locating tabs that snap the Turkey tray valley pan intake gasket into spots on the heads. Good luck.

Flawlessly. Most people ditch the rubber end gaskets and use some RTV gasket maker stuff in place of it (plenty of internet how-tos for this) but for a stock engine and gasket surfaces in good shape, I've never had any issues. In fact, Fel-pro made these for GM Olds engines back in the day. I have an "NOS" one that came with the engine gasket kit and it had Fel-pro" stamped on it when I opened the box. So no need to hunt for an NOS one, just buy the Fel-pro.

Horrible. I detest the factory style turkey tray. I’ve used them many times on Oldsmobile builds and eventually they always end up leaking. I did have success though with a simple rubber gasket as shown below.

I had good luck with them, always seal but I go above and beyond. I have had issues getting the thicker Mr Gasket to fit. I haven't been able to use them on my last 4 Olds engines. They would not even fit on a bone stock 76 Olds 350 with Performer manifold. I did get the similar SCE to fit on a 403. I also have to use the Edelbrock of the same style for the BBO port size and the valley tray hits aftermarket roller lifters.

You will notice a port mismatch on the gasket, if a 86. They no longer make a separate intake gasket for the smaller swirl port 307 or the small port 260.
