Went to Bryson City to watch the total eclipse and learned an interesting fact on the steam train ride to Dillard. Back in the day the used old cars to stop erosion caught a quick pic and found some others on line. By the way the total eclipse was assume.

It's like "carhenge" but more like car dam....interesting use of old cars.

I thought we were seeing the rocks through the water but I guess that rust color is the actual water....

Had they been in a dry junkyard all these years, perhaps there might have been some usable parts . It's possible that some of the trim parts, bumpers and such would still be salvageable.

Looks like an environmental nightmare.
Wonder if they removed all the fluids n grease first,or if the water downstream is just a cancer soup?
