I have a 1980 Chevy Malibu and the trim is/was in real bad shape. I started to take the trim off and figure out that it was not put back together right from someone else. I can’t figure out where the lower back seat panels connect. As far as I can tell there are 2 screws and there is a funny looking clip/bracket that was behind the upper part of that panel. Anyone know how the lower rear panels connect. I’m putting up a couple of other pics if anyone knows where they go I would appreciate any help

You've pretty much got it.

The lowers have one screw hidden by the upper seat back once it's installed and one in the bottom corner closer to the door/floor.

The b pillar molding slides over the edge, along with that of the upper, and helps keep it locked in place once it's down. The upper edge is helped to be held in place by the upper panel
