I have a nice set of Iroc 16x8 wheels I want to put on my 82 regal during winter storage I want to know what size adapter is needed to clear the rear frame. My fronts are a 225/50/R16 and the rears 255/50/R16 I just love certain O.E.M wheels I plan to get a set of t type wheels or grand national wheels for my regal in the future.

If you're using the designated rims marked "front" and "rear". You'll need an approx. 1" spacer/ adapter in the rear...unless you find two more fronts to use in the rear.

So, its 4 fronts for all around?
Correct. The rear wheels have too much backspace and can only be properly used with spacers. Many guys do not like to use spacers. I don't see anything wrong with using a good billet, hub centric spacer/ adapter. However, if the car is used for racing or auto-X, I don't think I'd be comfortable using spacers.

What offset or backspace are the wheels you are putting on the rear?

On my '83 El Camino I'm running that same sized rear tire on 16X8 GTA wheels and only have a 1/4" spacer. My GTA wheels are zero offset (4.5" BS). To run a 1/4" spacer, I had to put in longer lug studs.

Fronts are 235/55R-16 and don't need a spacer.

You could also do the 10/12 bolt swap from the A-bodies for the increased width and strength. No spacers needed then.

Nothing fancy just some wheels for winter storage.
