Maybe it's just paranoia from not working on it for the last while as I save up for body and paint. I'm getting worried that I'm going to take her in to the body shop and they're going to tell me it's not worth fixing. I know you can fix anything if you throw enough money at it, but I figured I'd post some pics of the bad spots and get some input.

From the driver's rear wheel well. This one disturbes me.

Bottom rear corner of the quarter window opening. I figure this one let all the moisture in to cause the lower decay

Inside the left rear seat area. Around the seatbelt mount is gone, and the wheel well separating from the floor pan

The wheel well is separated from the floor pan pretty much from front to back

There is also a hole in the LR qtr panel but that's no big deal to fix. The front floor pans have some small holes but I know you can get floor pans. I guess the part I'm most worried about is the left rear wheel well and floor pan area. Should I be worried or am I just paranoid?

A reputable shop will tell you the rot needs to be cut out and replaced with new metal before you put any paint on it.
As you say anything can be fixed with enough money but if you are going to pay someone to repair your car it may not make economic sense.

The rust round the seat belt anchors is particularly important. Over here your car would not pass its annual compulsory safety inspection because of structural weakness.

I suspect if you start delving into the rust you will uncover more horrors, unless your car has a special value to you it strikes me as a donor car rather than a fixer upper.

I don't want to rain on your parade, but be aware of the work and cost involved before you start putting your hard earned dollars into your car.

Roger.

This is a patch the previous owner put in mine so it can be done

Well I visited the body shop I planned on taking my car to yesterday armed with the pictures of the bad spots. The guy didn't seem too worried about being able to fix those spots, and yes with new metal. This place does a lot of resto work around town and from what I've seen they do good work. The guy is currently working on a Regal. Mine's going in at the end of October 🙂

Yes it is 😀 ! Now I've just got a couple of real small things to do and then I can tuck it back against the wall in the garage until October. Now if I can only get a hold of those pesky hard to find items I've been looking for

Depending on what you need...maybe I can help out. There's a couple of wreckers about an hour away...each one had a 2dr Lemans. I'm hoping to get out there in a couple weeks or so.
