is there a difference?

between an ignition switch in a tilt column and a nontilt. and do they take the same key locking cylinder in the ign?

Switches operate in different direction, and cylinder is the same for both

so i bought the right key cylinder but the wrong switch, ok that's cheaper than tearing everything apart.
