IS THERE A SECRET TO INSTALLING TORQUE CONVERTER?

this is making me angry. ive tried two different ones on this 200r4 and neither will get on there. what am i missing here?

Are you talking about getting it to seat properly on the input shaft, or tightening the convertor bolts to the flexplate?

absolutely positive. one of these converters came off of it but neither will go back on.

I usually lube to converter hub with some trans fluid and push it onto the shaft as I'm rotating it (rotating the converter).

fwiw the th350/th400 you turn & push until it drops in twice on the 200-4R you do it three times or it doesn't fully seat. Don't ask me how I know.
