Is this worth looking into?

I have that motor in my suburban with 233k on it, still runs great.
It would be better if you could see it run, but its a good core
Its a throttle body motor.
You could easily use a different manifold, carb and distributor and run it non ccc
Its a 1pc rear main roller block but most likely doesnt have a roller cam being in a truck.
Im not sure if the block comes machined for the roller set up but its not much to do.
Good chance its a 4bolt main block

It'd be my first engine rebuild. I want to do it non-CCC. At this point, the non- CCC thing is most important to me. The guy seemed pretty desperate to sell, so I think I could talk him down a bit.

that sounds good but if you can find a 96 they came with vortec heads, more power and better fuel economy

Roller cam block and 1 piece rear main seal. Can't go wrong there. Seems like a fair price. I would want pictures first before driving to look at it.

All you need is an intake and a carb. You'll be smart to buy a carb intake for 87-95 engines as the center holes will already be elongated and come with spacers for a proper fit.

Seller contacted. I think I'm gonna buy it. I just need some quick money. Anyone need their grass cut?

Thats a great price for a running motor. You should snap it up if at all possible.

This engine would be great. I would still rebuild a good bit of it, make it non- CCC. My parents aren't supportive of it at all. They think its a waste of money and I'll go too fast. Well, they are right about going too fast.
