Nice wagon!

The pontiac wagon nose is my favorite. Some pontiac ralleys or snowflakes really pep them up.

The only thing I love about the 3.8 in my wagon is I only put gas and oil in it and thats about it. If it had a rowdy something else I'd be spending time cleaning, organizing, tuning or adding HP. I might accelerate slowly but I can just smash my foot to the floor and it moves slightly faster.

Not sure where in Wisc you are but theres a 400 pontiac in Dubuque that isn't a terribly long drive.

But a buick 350 swap is easy and cheap :)

Nice! I like the '81 nose so much I swapped one onto my '83. That car speaks to me. It says put a Pontiac V-8 in me! Even a 301 would be better than the 3.8. I put a 301 in mine and I was able to use the 3.8's AC compressor. Also snowflakes may rub the lower control arm- Ralley II's fit well.

A Pontiac V8 isn't out of the question, I'll let it simmer for awhile. It will depend on budget and what I end up visioning long term or if I find some deal on something that interest me. Don't plan to have a pro-touring car or lots of money into suspension/brakes, that is what my SS has evolved into, at least in theory. To justify 3 toys this one might need to stay on the cheap end of things for awhile anyway. I have a spare SBC 350 laying around as well as a 200-4r, tempting, but since both my Monte's are SBC powered I rather do something else. Turbo 3.8 would be cool, but they aren't plentiful or cheap. Caddy powered is possible, LS powered is what I'm leaning towards, for now. Not before the SS gets AFR heads though :) .

Good stuff in this thread, glad to see I'm with like minded people who own g-body wagons it appears :D .

Cool ride. You don't see very many of the pontiac variety. Who's Road Monster in the background of that picture?
It has some potential. My other ride is a 92 Olds Custom Cruiser.

It would be the last year that Olds would produce a full size wagon, and rear wheel drive.
At some point and time I plan on looking for a G body malibu wagon to do something different but understated sleeper much like Longroof79.

Thank you sir. That's a sweet Custom Cruiser. You don't see that many of them...mostly Caprices and Roadmasters.
