I have a set of l96 injectors and rails I got from the junkyard. I have an 05 6.0. I know I can buy ev6 to multec pigtails but what about the injector height and oring size. The 05 lq4 injectors are taller and the oring slightly bigger.
Lq4:top oring .537" l96 .533"
Height. 1.866" 1.815"
Both bottom orings .551"
Can I put the bigger oring on the l96 injector? Or use the gen 4 rail. It's a small difference but I'm not really trying to start an engine fire. I can't find an adapter that takes up such a small space. Any advice or help is appreciated. Everything has gone up so much (f***** terminator_x max went up like 500) I'm just trying to save money anywhere I can.

O-rings can be swapped, I used some 3/8" nuts as rail spacers for my LS1 height injectors on my L92 intake, so if you need height you can space out with whatever you want. The fuel rail will work unless you swap the intake or it hits the hood. The rail bolts are M6x1.0 so it shouldn't be too hard to find longer bolts, I just went to Home depot for longer bolts.

Thanks. Good to know about the orings. I have the opposite problem that ls1 injectors present. They're really tall so moving the rail up works. I need the injector to be 1.5mm taller or the rails 1.5mm lower. They make ls3 inj. to truck intake adapters but they're alot shorter and about impossible to find in a junkyard/marketplace cheap.
Yea I've been staring at that a good amount today. Looks like theyre only option is to put ls3 or ls1 injectors in a truck intake. I wonder if I filed down the fuel rail mounting bosses I could get the rail low enough to have a good seal on the injectors.

I cut the the rail mounts down a 3/8” or so to use my China rails with Bosch 210’s and filters.

Don’t over think this too much.
