Just got my first ever car! I've always loved G-bodies, and this is a bad *ss whip!

Has 31,*** original KMs, a new 350, and also a completely reupholstered interior with no bench seat in the front anymore!

I just straight piped the other day and it sounds freaking nuts, it'll be temporary, as I'll buy a new exhaust down the road, probably magnaflows, but I'll check out others, too.

I want to push this bad boy to at least 420ish HP. It has around 350 at the moment, but what Cams and headers would you suggest?

Also, it's the stock transmission, but I can't figure out if that's the 200-4r or not

Thanks for reading!

Is your name a Boondocks reference? Also, welcome to the forum! Sounds like a good buy.

Welcome! My g body was also my first car.

Have you had it on the chassis dyno? That’d be a good start just to see where the car is at currently.

Do you have an Olds, Buick, or Chevy 350?

There’s a lot you can do to make more power on the cheap. I’ve had good luck with these Jeg’s headers (For chevrolet engines). They aren’t the nicest in the world, but they are a cheap, good flowing full length header for a mild street small block. Their 2.5” exhuast kit is good too.

Buick 350's have the distributor in the front.

You'll note the differences between, the Olds and Chevy 350's in these two photos. Physically there are a lot of differences, the shape of the intakes/valve covers, the way the water pump bolts on, among many others.

Plus on a sbc the dizzy goes through the intake. olds does not. Easiest way to tell imo is if it has a large filler tube on the passenger side of the engine straight up and down, it's an olds.
