Went into the store for about 5 min and when I came out there it was. I was told a brand new silver bmw with no tags and tinted windows did it. I've had this car for the last 10 years and its been in the family since brand new. I was really wanting to fix a few of the smaller dings on the car and then get a new paint job for it but after this I'm just hoping this can be fixed and not ruin my wallet

check with your insurance broker, that might be covered under an uninsured drivers fund.

What a dick that person is. Well, the dude was driving a BMW so that explains it. Looks like it can be pulled out mostly, I'd try that. Invest in a stud gun and slide hammer. Not to familiar with elcos... can you get to the backside of the dent?

It doesn't look too bad, however I'm not familiar with the way elkys are put together. seems like the damage was contained just to the lower section. How does the door jamb look? any signs of cracked paint ?

Does the door still latch close smoothly?

Will check with insurance later but doubt im covered. Not sure If I can get to the backside of the dent atleast not easily from looking. Door jamb looks fine and the door also shuts and latches just like it used to it seems. So guess its not that bad then? I emailed a paint less dent remover so lets see what he says. Don't think I want to mess with removing it myself, plus I got a firebird that takes up most of my garage time, this was my daily driver.

Uninsured motorist coverage is a requirement in most states....if you haven't reported the accident yet to the police do so immedialty

While I agree that he should report this just in case, can you get an uninsured driver claim if you don't know who the driver was?

It looks like it's going to require some hammer and dolly work from behind, but I don't know how accessible the panel is from the inside. Between that and using a stud gun to try to finesse the dent out without overly stretching the metal.

Before doing anything, I would find out if the insurance company will cover it.
