I dig those vehicles. My friend had one back in the early '70's that we drove cross country pulling a pop-up camper trailer. It originally came with a straight six and 3-spd on the column. Before taking it cross country he swapped the six out for a mild 350/ 2-bbl out of a Monte Carlo. He also kept the 3-spd trans and column shifter. I could still picture it. It was a cool green color with a white top and Ansen style slotted wheels. It was a 4X4, too.
