So, I'm getting ready to reinstall my dashboard soon. I removed it to clean out some mouse damage.

The mice chewed out all the factory insulation behind the dash absolutely nothing left.

I ordered 36 square feet of 80 Mil Kilmat sound deadener. Just wondering if this will be enough behind the dash in place of the jute insulation. I like the thought of having something that won't absorb water, and the mice won't nest in.

This car is never going to be "nice" or "quiet" I just don't want to end up ever pulling the dash out again.

Sorry, no good pics of the Kilmat.

The newer insulation has to be better than the technology behind 40 year old insulation

Sounds good to me... I hope it is better. I haven't been in one of these cars since I was 10 years old. I won't know if it's louder than stock or not. Lol
