tyler222,
My avatar shows my El Camino with GR50/15 front and LR50/15 rear. Fronts would rub at full lock and the back was raised 1 1/2 inches with the wheel well lip rolled. Hopefully, somebody on here will know what the numerical equivalent would be for those tires.

I know this thread isn't new but maybe someone can help me out.
I have a set of 275/60/15s on 10" wide rims on the back of my 81 Grand Prix.
They sit about flush with the fenders on the outside and I can make them touch just by bouncing the car. (hasnt been on the road yet) What you you guys done to stop the tires from touching the fenders?
Blackplague, are your rear fenders rolled? Do the tires touch at all?
JBreu, your tires look like they stick out further than your fenders. How do you keep the rubber off the metal?

Anyone can answer, not just the two people I mentioned.

Thanks in advance guys.

Here are pictures of how they fit.

those look good. you could get some air shocks and air them up just slightly. I have air shocks on mine, they cost about $80.

I had air shocks in an 81 Camaro I had back in the 80's. Now that I think about it, I had them for the same reason.
The ride was a little on the stiff side though. Not ruling it out but I would like to know if there are any other suggestions.

Thanks Evan's 85.

Use an air bag or bags in the coils and good shocks and you will have better ride and much better traction at launch due to the preloading of the suspension. Its is much better than air shocks.

I would definitely go with dual air bags inside your coil springs and have a seperate air valve for each side and you should probably still roll the wheelwell lip a little to be safe.
